Le 4 mai, dans le monde entier les fans de la saga Star Wars ont célébré le Starwars day! En Belgique, à Bruxelles, a eu lieu ce jour là, une exposition éphémère sur ce thème : Star Wars Légion . 30 têtes de Stormtroopers ont été customisées par 30 artistes belges originaire de tout le royaume. Ils sont designers, stylistes, photographes , illustrateurs etc… et on peint, décoré, complètement réinventé la tête de l’iconique soldat à leur manière.
Star Wars légion existe depuis 2014, la première exposition qui s’est tenue aux Etas-Unis, a été créée à l’initiative de créatifs qui travaillent chez Disney et de quelques street artistes. Il existe actuellement plus de 300 têtes customisées qui ont été exposées en 2014 au Robert Vargas Gallery de Los Angeles. La version belge de ce projet est dans la continuité des 300 premiers modèles et propose des têtes très différentes les unes des autres. Les têtes pour la plupart étaient très colorées, tres pop art voir kawaii. Certaines ne ressemblaient plus du tout à un stormtrooper.
Star Wars Legion Belgique n’a duré qu’un seul jour et se tenait à Bruxelles, derrière le quartier Danseart dans une grande pièce, ancien atelier de Christophe Coppens.
L’exposition belge est finie et je n’ai pas eu vent d’autres expositions Légion que ça soit en Belgique ou ailleurs dans la monde. Peut être la reverrons nous un de ces jours chez nous…
Mon avis sur Star Wars Legion :
Dommage que ça n’ait duré qu’un seul jour ! L’exposition était sympa et originale, je pense que ça a plus autant aux grands fans qu’aux autres. Il ‘y avait pas trop de monde mais quand même constamment des gens. Je pense franchement que c’est le genre d’exposition qui attire les gens surtout en ce Starwars day. Ma tête préférée est la rose, customisée par Dorian Van Overeem.
