Comme chaque année, les fêtes balinaises se tiendront dans le temple de Pairi Daiza lors de la saison 2016. Ces fêtes sont en partie privées mais s’ouvrent aux visiteurs du parc dans l’après-midi.
Les fêtes balinaise commencent par des célébrations organisées pour la communauté balinaise d’Europe par l’association hindoue « Banjar Shanti Dharma-Belgique Luxembourg » . Cette organisation vise à diffuser et partager la culture balisienne à travers la Belgique notamment dans le temple de Pairi Daiza que le parc à offert à la communauté. Ce temple a été construit par des artisans de Bali et inauguré en 2008 .
Lors de ces fêtes, tous les balinois d’Europe sont invités à se rendre à « Pura Bali Berselimut Salju » pour un moment festif , mélant danse , dégustation, musique et chants. Les participants viennent de toute l’europe, Allemagne, Hollande, Suède , Italie et parcourent parfois un long chemin pour se rendre au temple. Chaque journée festive est dédié à un évènement, par exemple la première fête sera célébrée en l’honneur des animaux.
Par la suite, souvent l’après midi, le temple est ouvert aux visiteurs du parc qui peuvent eux aussi admirer les danses ainsi que les beaux costumes des artistes. Cette ouverture au public dure en général une ou deux heures et il y a toujours beaucoup de monde. C’est le seul moment de l’année ou il est possible de rentrer dans cet endroit sacré !

- Samedi17 septembre2016 : Galungan dan Kuningan (Fête de la création de l’univers. )
- Samedi 15 octobre 2016 : Purnama ( Fête de la Lune )
ATTENTION : Pour rappel , les femmes réglées ne peuvent pas rentrer dans le temple et il est demandé d’avoir une tenue décente !
